Nadia Benavides is an actress and writer born and raised in Los Angeles, CA with a range of credits from dozens of national and regional TV commercials and TV co-star roles. She has also lent her voice to local animation projects.
She refined her comedic skills at improv and sketch comedy schools such as UCB, IO West, and The Groundlings, where she learned that mastering comedy requires impeccable timing and the ability to laugh at yourself (often while in the middle of a sketch!). She has written, acted, and directed many different sketches for sketch teams like Tan In Winter and Tiny Muscles both for the stage and world wide web. She loves collaborating with her husband, actor Preston Earnest, together they have written musical parodies and films they hope to one day share with the world!
When she’s not acting or writing, you can find Nadia chasing after her two sweet boys all while blocking their Taekwondo moves, cooking meals that tie in her Nicaraguan background, and finding peace in the landscape of TN nature, all while trying to avoid ticks at all cost. Nadia shows that juggling a busy career and family life is a lot like improv—spontaneous, unpredictable, and best with lots of laughter.
